Job Description

Position Title : Senior Model-Based Development Engineer Automotive (58 Yrs)


Location Pune


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control algorithms and physical system models using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow
  • Build plug-and-play architectures with scalable, reusable model components.
  • Execute Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) and validations: MIL, SIL, PIL, HIL
  • Perform automated model testing and simulation-based verification.
  • Debug, review, and ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, ISO26262, and MISRA standards.
  • Generate optimized production code using TargetLink / Embedded Coder / dSPACE.
  • Guide junior developers on modeling best practices and debugging techniques.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align with product requirements and hardware constraints.


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 58 years of strong hands-on experience in Model-Based Development (MBD)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow and TargetLink (or similar tools)
  • Solid grounding in mathematics, control systems, and embedded C programming
  • Strong knowledge of ECU software development, including linker scripts and makefiles
  • Experience with hardware schematics and software-hardware interfacing
  • Basic experience of AUTOSAR architecture and hardware debugging
  • Working experience with Lauterbach Trace 32 , CANoe is required.


Nice to Have:

  • Certification from MathWorks, NI, or dSPACE
  • Working knowledge of Python, Perl, or scripting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor teams and drive technical excellence.
  • A mindset geared toward research, innovation, and process optimization.
