Senior Fashion House Merchandiser

Experienced merchandiser with a minimum of 5 7 years experience in a fashion design house (not export or buying house), preferably one that offers both Indian/ethnic and contemporary western clothing.

DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NOT WORKED FOR A DESIGN HOUSE DEALING WITH FASHION GARMENTS with retail prices above Rs. 50,000.

The candidate must have strong leadership abilities and be an effective communicator.

We are looking for somebody self-motivated. Strong managerial skills

Responsibilities include:

Must have experience with EBOs and India's leading MBOs (Pernia, Ensemble, Ogaan, etc.)

• Managing a team of EBO and MBO merchandisers.
• Generating purchase orders
• Travelling within India for trunk shows / promotions.

Working closely with design team to provide guidance on seasonal collections.

• Responsibility for costing of collections.

Coordinating with production department to insure that PO's are produced on time.

Strong Excel Skills are required.
