Role Description

Job Title: Senior Merchandiser Woven (Product & Business Development)

Evolv Clothing is looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiserwith strong Business Development expertisein the garment industry, particularly in woven garments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the complete product development cycle while actively supporting business growth through client engagement, product innovation, and strategic sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandising & Order Management

• Manage the complete merchandising cycle from inquiry to order execution and shipment.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as sourcing, production, quality, and logistics to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Manage costing, negotiations, order confirmations, and production follow-ups.
• Coordinate with factories, vendors, and millsto ensure on-time delivery.
• Track production progress, approvals, and shipment timelines.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, costing targets, and delivery schedules.

Product Development

• Manage the end-to-end product development processfor woven garments from concept to bulk production.
• Coordinate with design, sourcing, sampling, and production teamsto ensure timely development.
• Work closely with buyers to understand product requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
• Develop and monitor tech packs, sample approvals, costing, and critical path timelines.
• Ensure fabric, trims, and accessories meet buyer specifications and quality expectations.

Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with global buyers and brands.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and sourcing partners.
• Present new product developments, fabric innovations, and seasonal collectionsto clients.
• Work with internal teams to convert development opportunities into confirmed orders.
• Support company growth by expanding buyer accounts and increasing order volumes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience:10-15 years in apparel merchandising or product development.
• Strong experience in woven garment development.
• Proven exposure to business development and buyer handling.
• Excellent knowledge of Costing, and vendor management.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple developments and production timelines simultaneously.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience working with international buyers / export houses.
• Strong understanding of global fashion trends and fabric innovations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced apparel manufacturing environment.
• Leadership experience in handling merchandising teamsis a plus.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field.
