Senior Member of Technical Staff

Join the Avi Load Balancer ( ALB ) Cloud Services team responsible for providing always available connected services such as threat feeds, licensing entitlements to our ALB controllers enabling our customers to license, monitor and secure huge deployments.
Team has a proven history of consistently delivering modular extendable features on time progressively making it richer in phases, building loosely coupled components allowing us to seamlessly handle transitions necessary during acquisitions, components that are amenable to progressive upgrades always maintaining backward compatibility.

This is an on-site position in Bangalore, India, where you will be part of a larger cross-border team of smart and motivated engineers located both in Bangalore, India and Palo Alto, USA while enjoying the autonomy and support to express yourself creatively and deliver at your Best.

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff you will:
● Design, develop, and troubleshoot software using the latest software frameworks, databases, traffic handling tools.
● Deliver work products of superior quality and operational reliability.
● Work to improve the performance and efficiency of components of Distributed
Cloud services solution.
● Perform peer code reviews and develop Automated Unit and Function tests.
● Engage with product teams to learn about existing challenges and customer success teams to support field calls.

Necessary Qualifications

● BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field
● 6-8 years’ engineering experience in a software development environment.
● Advanced development experience in Golang, Javascript and/or Python
● Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, server side programming, software design patterns and distributed systems fundamentals.
● Knowledge of Google Protobuf, GRPC, RESTful API design and HTTP.

Desired Qualifications

● Background in building solutions modeled around client-server architecture.
● Experience in building multi region distributed server solutions that handles web traffic at scale providing subsecond API responses.
● Experience in handling OAuth interactions with IDPs.
● Experience in developing network resilient recoverable client applications.
● Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and
deployment schedules
● Experience with any of the databases - SQL, NoSQL
