We are looking for a hands-on Senior Mechatronics Engineer who can lead integration of mechanical, electronics, and embedded systems for advanced robotic platforms.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer with strong experience in robotic system integration, autopilots, embedded systems, and rapid prototyping. The role involves working closely with mechanical, electronics, and software teams to develop and deploy real-world robotic products.
This is a high-ownership role suited for engineers who enjoy building hardware from scratch and taking systems from prototype to field deployment.
Key ResponsibilitiesRobotic System Development
- Design and develop mechatronic systems for drones, ROVs, AUVs, and marine platforms.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, control systems, and embedded hardware.
- Work on autonomous navigation, control systems, and system architecture.
Embedded & Control Systems
- Develop and integrate systems using:
- Pixhawk / Ardupilot
- Raspberry Pi
- Arduino
- NVIDIA Jetson
- Sensor integration: GPS, IMU, LiDAR, sonar, cameras, telemetry systems.
- Develop wiring schematics, harnessing, and system layouts.
MechanicalElectronics Integration
- Collaborate with mechanical team using SolidWorks for enclosure and system design.
- Support actuator selection, propulsion systems, and payload integration.
- Build and test prototypes in lab and field environments.
Testing & Deployment
- Conduct field trials for drones, boats, and robotic systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and safety.
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain system documentation, wiring diagrams, and test reports.
- Coordinate with fabrication vendors and internal teams.
- Support pilot deployments and customer demonstrations.
- Strong hands-on experience in mechatronics and robotics integration.
- Proficiency with:
- SolidWorks
- Pixhawk / Ardupilot ecosystem
- Raspberry Pi
- Arduino
- NVIDIA Jetson
- Experience in embedded systems and sensor integration.
- Understanding of control systems and robotics architecture.
- Experience with communication protocols (UART, CAN, I2C, SPI).
- Ability to build and test real hardware systems.
