Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 810 years of experience in designing mechanical systems for medium to large-scale building projects. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Consulting/Design Engineering firms , with a solid background in GCC codes and standards , and the capability to lead mechanical design teams.

1.Key Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical design for major projects and oversee the work of junior engineers.

Prepare and supervise designs for:

oHVAC systems (Chilled Water, DX Systems, VRF, etc.)

oPlumbing & Drainage systems

oFirefighting systems

oMechanical equipment selection and sizing

oHeat load calculations and pressure drop calculations

Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, IMC , and relevant GCC authority regulations.

Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other project teams.

Review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and technical proposals.

Assist in tender preparation and technical evaluations.

2.Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).

810 years of mechanical design experience in building construction.

Experience in Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Hotel, and Hospital projects.

Must have worked in a Consulting company , not contracting alone.

Experience in GCC projects is mandatory.

Strong command over ASHRAE, SMACNA, IPC, IMC, NFPA, and GCC codes.

Experience designing mechanical systems for 35 star hotels .

Ability to lead a mechanical design team .

Knowledge of ELV-related mechanical systems (BMS, FA, Smoke Control) is a plus.

Gulf-return candidates preferred (but not mandatory).
