Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead multiple R&D and company projects Team. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, coordination with external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is proficient in SOLIDWORKS, experienced in developing detailed designs and assemblies, capable of preparing reports for senior management, and committed to continuous learning and innovation. Strong multitasking, technical expertise, and leadership skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design projects, managing schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Develop and review mechanical and electromechanical designs, assemblies, and drawings in SOLIDWORKS.
• Drive concept development, design validation, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to transition designs into production.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure design quality, documentation accuracy, and version control.
• Apply strong technical expertise to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and durability.
• Interface with customers and suppliers for requirements, design approvals, fabrication, and quality compliance.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for senior management and the board.

Requisite Skills:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic components such as gearmotors, sensors, switches, VFDs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Excellent understanding of basic engineering calculations and principles.
• Ability to select appropriate bought-out parts based on design and application requirements.
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Strong command over GD&T; able to create and review drawings following ISO / ASME / IS standards.
• Hands-on experience in:

-Prototype design and R&D work

-Reverse engineering and design improvement

-Documentation management and customer coordination

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales, production, purchase, quality, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP/SAP systems.
• Strong skills in team handling, project management, and multi-project coordination.
• Proficient in budgeting, cost estimation, manufacturing drawing checking, and process planning.
• Strong organizational leadership, English communication, and presentation skills

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical

degree

Relevant Experience:

Relevant minimum 5+ years of experience in conveyor systems, packaging machinery, food and pharma machinery, robotics, gantry automation, pick & place systems, conveyor automation, packaging automation, SPM and ASRS design experience.
