Job Description
Position: Sr Engineer
Job Description
- Handle RFQs and participate in technical discussions & sign-off with customers
- Design and develop new products (Automotive switches & sensors)
- Create 3D models and prepare 2D engineering drawings
- Conduct DFMEA, DFM, DFA activities
- Perform product costing and feasibility analysis
- Carry out design analysis including calculations and tolerance stack-up
- Review & finalize DVP in collaboration with the customer
- Support prototype development and validation
- Lead design reviews with customer and internal CFT teams
- Conduct and approve DFM reviews and tool design reviews
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for tooling, process development, and product testing
- Perform product benchmarking and competitive analysis
- Lead troubleshooting for product quality issues during development and field/customer feedback
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Automotive engineering or equivalent
- 46 years of hands-on experience in product design (automotive preferred)
- Strong knowledge of tooling and manufacturing processes
- Proficient in CAD software (CREO / CATIA)
- Good understanding of product development processes & engineering standards
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
