Position Overview

Strong skills of Camera Tracking/Object Tracking/Body Tracking, reconstructing model with reference images etc.
Should have good troubleshooting skills.
Should able to handle complex cameras
For Body Trackers should be able to do tight body track.
Convert background plates to various formats to use with specific software to create digital motion files that match the plate photography. This may include animating any live-action character or relative object in the scene.
Establish character blocking, camera positioning and animate camera movement.
Provide technical set-up of shots for downstream production departments.
Model the set geometry used to create the matchmove and environment for animators and Technical Directors. Lights, renders and composites files with the background to judge the move
Maintain a professional level of knowledge about current developments in matchmove tools for computer graphics, especially in areas that relate to the film industry.

Required Skills and Experience

Experience tracking shots in Syntheyes or 3d Equalizer
Strong knowledge of Layout in 3DSMax or Maya
Strong computer aptitude: Knowledge of Syntheyes or 3d Equalizer, Maya or 3DSMax, and Nuke
At least 6 + years animation experience
Camera knowledge and on set skills a plus
Ability to learn facility pipeline to be able to provide cameras and layouts to the other departments
Experience and knowledge of fast turnaround television work
Strong critical thinking on layout and pipeline procedures are essential to the position
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Must take direction well and implementing changes with quick turn around
Strong organization, problem-solving, and project management; attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
