As the Technology and CME (Communication, Media and Entertainment) Industry Marketing Leader, you will spearhead a team of elite marketers committed to establishing Sutherland as an industry leader. You will be the visionary behind our industry marketing strategy, ensuring the creation of impactful marketing strategies, value propositions, content and campaigns that address customer needs and drives business outcomes.


This role goes beyond content creation; you will bridge customer pain points with our innovative solutions, crafting compelling solution-selling content and customer case studies that help us stand out in the market and positioning Sutherland in the digital product engineering services field as a digital transformation partner. Your proven background in the tech arena will enable you as the right candidate to create impact on prospects and industry analysts with differentiated value propositions. Furthermore, you will support our industry analyst program by delivering distinctive content and messaging for briefings and evaluations. This role merges strategy, leadership, and the opportunity to make a significant impact in the market.

ROLE SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW


As the Director of Technology and CME Industry Marketing at Sutherland, you'll lead a team of elite of marketers dedicated to creating positioning and generate demand for your verticals. Your strategic background and expertise in digital & Tech services, Cloud Computing Services, AI and ML, Digital transformation consulting, Business Process Automation and Customer Experience Transformation, Digital Engineering, Application Modernization and DevOps Services, RPA and Cibersecurity, will be pivotal in crafting and executing innovative marketing strategies that translate our product offerings into compelling and market propositions through engaging content and digital campaigns across all marketing channels. You will play a critical role in partnering with solutions architect, product management, sales and delivery teams to drive and execute strategic marketing plans and initiatives, to support with the resources needed for success.


In this role, you will not only develop a coherent strategy but also lead by example, focusing on the Travel and Retail sectors. You will be instrumental in building relationships with key stakeholders, managing budgets, and ensuring our initiatives deliver a significant return on investment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategy


  1. Lead Industry Marketing Activity:
  • Develop and implement the Industry Marketing strategy and plans for your verticals, focusing on key narratives that support the firm's overarching goals across segments, geographies, and service lines.
  • Develop differentiated value propositions that integrates and stand out our Digital and Tech Services offering
  • Master the solution-selling approach by mapping customer needs and pain points with solutions and use cases that help to attract and build partnership with new and existing customers
  • Ensure ABM strategies are in place by steering segmentation and mapping content and actions along a personalized buyers journey
  • Lead the Industry Marketing team to ensure go-to-market strategies are effectively communicated through compelling content (website copy, blogs, videos, case studies) and digital campaigns.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships to support Sutherlands marketing strategy.


  1. Orchestrate Digital Channel Strategy:
  • Develop and implement a coherent brand and demand strategy aligned with the company's objectives with the goal of growing pipeline for the vertical
  • Collaborate with business and product management leadership to identify strategic areas for solutions/product/feature investments and launch new capabilities and features.
  • Utilize metrics and KPIs to assess the success of initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.


  1. Technology and CME Leadership:
  • Design and implement strategies to support pipeline growth within the Travel and Retail sectors.


Content & Communications


  1. Partner with Solution architect and Product Management:
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, offering counsel and advice on strategy.
  • Identify strategic areas for product/solutions selling and support the launch of new capabilities and features.
  • Support the industry analyst program by providing content and messaging for briefings and product evaluations, differentiating our offerings.


  1. Partner with Sales Enablement:
  • Provide the Sales team with appropriate content to effectively sell Sutherlands capabilities.


  1. Connect the Dots:
  • Align customer pain points with our solutions and the business outcomes we deliver.


  1. Measurements:
  • Monitor KPIs and update strategies as necessary.
  • Track and calculate the impact of initiatives (Reach/Engagement/Advocacy).


Develop, Build, and Launch


  1. Lead Product Launches and Announcements:
  • Oversee product launches and announcements, refining processes to maximize their impact on prospects and industry analysts.


  1. Manage Operational Tasks:
  • Liaise with Technology and platforms experts and other stakeholders as needed.


  1. Create and Deliver Content:
  • Develop and deliver product content and customer case studies for marketing, sales, and customer success teams.


QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICALCOMPETENCIES:


  • 10+ years of Tech and CME Industry marketing experience
  • 10+ years of background in Digital and Tech Services, across various industries
  • 10+ years of background on these specific offerings: Cloud Computing Services, AI and ML, Digital transformation consulting, Business Process Automation and Customer Experience Transformation, Digital Engineering, Application Modernization and DevOps Services, RPA and Cibersecurity.
  • 10+ years of formal management experience and passion for leading teams, as well as delivering results as an individual contributor.
  • 10+ years of experience in demand generation and multichannel approach to market, ensuring expertise in the website development, sponsored and hosted events, and most importantly ABM knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to build integrated and collaborative teams.
  • Extensive experience in thought leadership, product messaging, content development, and sales enablement.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a clear and persuasive, buyer-oriented writing style
  • Excellent operational and project management skills, including the ability to manage diverse projects and multiple priorities under aggressive timelines.
  • BA required, MBA or MA a plus.
  • Experience successfully working with C-level leaders and partnering with senior leadership across other groups and disciplines.
  • Proven history of managing cross-functional teams to create a powerful, effective, and coherent design solution.
