Job Purpose

This role is a leadership role, aimed at developing the trading book for non-ferrous metals, developing India Market for sales, overall supply chain, managing risks and optimizing profitability for the desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term and short-term trading strategies for non-ferrous products
• Develop and expand existing trading channels for Mn Ore, Mn Flakes, Tin Ingots, Mn Flakes, Copper, Lead, Zinc and Nickel
• Develop new trade flows internationally and also develop and strengthen India Market presence with new customers.
• Monitor global commodity markets, economic indicators, and geopolitical factors impacting pricing and supply-demand dynamics.
• Optimize trading positions by leveraging hedging instruments, and structured contracts.
• Identify and capitalize on arbitrage opportunities across different geographies and exchanges.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, exchange rules, and internal risk policies.
• Work closely with risk, finance, and operations teams to manage P&L, exposure limits, and margin requirements.
• Lead, review and motivate commercial team, ensuring alignment and an enabling work environment, while developing key talent.

Educational Qualifications

Post Graduate / MBA

Desired Profile (Experience)

• Trading Leader with 12-15yrs experience in non-ferrous - base metals and ferro alloy products such as Mn Ore, Mn Flakes, Tin Ingots, Mn Flakes, Copper, Lead, Zinc and Nickel
• Strong international network of key customers and suppliers
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally for business development
• Well versed with hedging and trading platforms like London Metal Exchange (LME) and Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX)
• Knowledge of global trade regulations, compliance, and risk frameworks.
