Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished Technical Senior Manager IoT for Industrials to lead the development and execution of scalable, secure, and intelligent IoT solutions across key industriesAutomotive (including Software-Defined Vehicles), Manufacturing, and Aerospace.
The ideal candidate combines deep domain expertise with strategic knowledge of Cloud platforms, Cybersecurity, AI/ML, and lifecycle management technologies like DevSecOps, PLM and ALM. This leadership role involves serving as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders and technology teams, driving digital innovation, operational efficiency, and product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and have developed the industrial IoT vision, aligning digital initiatives with strategic business goals to accelerate transformation across product and operations.
- Lead the design and integration of enterprise IoT architectures, including edge computing, device orchestration, sensor networks, and secure cloud ecosystems.
- Architect solutions for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) including connected services, OTA software updates, V2X communication, and telematics.
- Integrate vehicle data with AI-powered diagnostics and mobility platforms.
- Implement smart factory solutions, leveraging digital twins, predictive analytics, and real-time machine monitoring.
- Enable IT/OT convergence with seamless connectivity between production systems and enterprise platforms.
- Guide deployment of high-reliability IoT solutions for asset performance, predictive maintenance, and operational intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with safety-critical aerospace standards and data governance models.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP), including scalable microservices, event-driven pipelines, and serverless computing.
- Lead cloud-to-edge integration strategies for industrial automation and telemetry.
- Design and enforce robust security frameworks for industrial IoT systems, covering authentication, encryption, secure provisioning, and regulatory compliance.
- Create data strategies that enable real-time analytics, ML models at the edge, and enterprise-scale insights using cloud-based data lakes and AI toolsets.
- Integrate IoT data with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) systems to enhance product traceability, compliance, version control, and continuous innovation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, product owners, and third-party providers to develop end-to-end, value-driven solutions.
- Mentor internal teams, lead architecture governance, and cultivate a culture of secure innovation and lifecycle thinking.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced technical or business degrees preferred.
- 11+ years of experience in industrial IoT, embedded systems, or digital engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a senior advisory or leadership role.
- Proven domain expertise in Automotive (SDVs), Manufacturing, and Aerospace environments.
- Hands-on experience with IoT platforms (e.g., Azure IoT, AWS IoT, Siemens MindSphere, PTC ThingWorx) and cloud-native services.
- Strong background in Cybersecurity, AI/ML, Data Architecture, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Deep familiarity with PLM/ALM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, IBM ELM, Polarion), and how they integrate into connected product and software ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of industrial automation, edge devices, protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus, CAN), and systems integration.
