Senior Manager – PMO & Change Management

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Change/Project Senior Manager with strong expertise in managing organizational change and project delivery. The role involves leading end-to-end planning, execution, and adoption of change initiatives, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders, risk management, and driving compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Project Ownership & Delivery

• Independently manage end-to-end project delivery, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
• Ensure all projects adhere to compliance requirements and organizational standards.

Business Benefit & Financial Management

• Create, contribute to, or ensure there is a valid Business Case for all projects.
• Monitor and maintain the project financials and change control where necessary, to ensure delivery within approved budgets.

Delivery, Communication & Resource management

• Proactively manage issues to resolution, initiating corrective action as necessary to ensure the project remains on schedule and budget.
• Ensure quality standards are met for all deliverables through business and system testing as appropriate.
• Deliver effective change and configuration management through change control procedures and approvals.
• Provide regular and appropriate communications within and external to the project team.
• Report to the Project Board and ensure projects are managed within the constraints specified.

Risk Management

• Identify, evaluate, and document risks to delivery.
• Develop action plans with associated budget to prevent or mitigate risks to minimize impact to project success.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management

• Identify and prioritize key stakeholder relationships clearly communicating and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Commercially manage any third party suppliers, ensuring quality delivery within budget and schedule.
• Cultivate collaborative working, building successful relationships to deliver timely effective issue management and facilitating conflict resolution where required.

Governance

• Deliver as required standard artefacts as defined by the project management methodology. (RAID logs, Plans, Workbook etc)
• Provide timely management reporting via Project Status Reports and project summaries as required.
• Ensure all project information, plans and documentation are kept up to date and stored in the shared directory.
• Ensure projects are formally reviewed and closed.
• Work at all times lawfully and in accordance with pre-defined regulatory, compliance and financial requirements, e.g. Data Protection, FCA Standards adhering to group/company policy, processes and control frameworks.

Must have:

• Proven experience in managing financial services industry, preferably in broker and insurer environments (UK), awareness of products and the regulated environment.
• MS Office Proficiency (Presentations & Excel)
• Exposure to preparation of executive decks like weekly, MBR & QBR
• Independently managed project analysts, demonstrating strong leadership and oversight skills
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to manage multi-functional teams and deliver projects on time and budget
• Proficiency in project management tools
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related field (Masters preferred).
• Project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2
• 10 12 years of experience in project management roles
