Senior Manager New Product Development

Job Description

• To be well versed with FSSAI, FDA, AYUSH regulations and guidelines.
• Proposes new product ideas via market study and evaluates formulation strategies for Research and Development compounds.
• Experienced in product development such as protein drinks, capsules, tablets & other formats of dietary supplements.
• Owning a complete product development cycle from Idea & Concept testing, design formulations with regulatory compliance, optimize process, checks efficacy and safety evidence, Sensory evaluation, design and review Health claims and labels w.r.t regulatory compliances.
• Should have handled the registration and licensing for FSSAI nutraceuticals, FDA and AYUSH category.
• Maintaining proper documentation for licensing and product registration.
• Responsible for New certifications for products and renewal of existing products certifications.

Quality Control:

• Co-ordinate with QC executives at manufacturing plant for regular compliance activities (Eg. Product internal QC, external testing)
• Making periodical testing requirements for foods as per FSSR requirement.
• Leading all food safety and regulatory activities in India and other countries to ensure product compliance.

Product Labelling:

• Validation of compliance labels of existing products as per applicable regulations.
• Liaison between marketing personnel and graphic designer for making compliance sticker.
• Overlook private labelling artwork and suggest changes if necessary.
• Liaison between management and external agency for understanding and incorporating changes in the label as per exporting country regulations (e.g., USFDA, EU etc)
• Maintenance of Barcode Master required for retail product labelling.
