We are a private equity-backed, tech-led Music IP powerhouse focused on owning and monetising large-scale music catalogues across India. Our core asset is Intellectual Property. Protecting, structuring, and maximising that IP is central to our long-term value creation.
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Manager Legal (IP) with deep domain expertise in Music or Entertainment Law.
This role is strictly for candidates who have worked in the music industry, entertainment companies, media houses, digital content platforms, production houses, or music labels.
This is a hands-on, drafting-intensive role focused on protecting and structuring music IP. The selected candidate will work directly with the Founders to build a legally robust, future-ready IP framework for a fast-scaling music company.
This is not a general corporate legal role.
- Draft, review, and negotiate artist agreements, music production agreements, composer agreements, lyricist agreements, and performer contracts
- Structure and secure master ownership and publishing rights
- Ensure watertight IP assignment and transfer documentation
- Design contracts to eliminate future ownership disputes
- Oversee copyright registrations and maintain structured IP documentation
- Build scalable contract templates for high-volume music acquisition
- Draft and negotiate sync, brand integration, and content licensing agreements
- Structure digital distribution agreements and aggregator contracts
- Review and manage platform agreements across YouTube, DSPs, and short-video platforms
- Oversee content ID claims, disputes, takedowns, and infringement notices
- Identify and mitigate IP risk exposure across digital ecosystems
- Draft NDAs, vendor agreements, consultancy contracts, and partnership agreements
- Build internal legal SOPs for content acquisition and release
- Coordinate with external IP counsels when required
- Maintain a disciplined, searchable contract repository
- Provide risk advisory inputs to Founders on strategic decisions
- 610 years of post-qualification legal experience
- Direct experience in the Music, Media, Entertainment, or Digital Content industry (mandatory)
- Strong working knowledge of Indian Copyright Law and IP assignment structures
- Proven experience drafting artist and content acquisition contracts
- Experience handling music licensing or content monetisation agreements
Candidates without prior entertainment or music industry exposure will not be considered.
