Job Overview:

The Senior Internal Audit Manager (Corporate Banking) is responsible for supporting the Head of Audit / Portfolio Head in providing internal audit services to Emirates NBD Group in the UAE and its International entities in the area of Corporate Banking, Group Credit Department, Financial Restructuring and Remediation, Credit Administration and other support functions.

He/she will undertake business process audit, project assignments and ad hoc review work under supervision as well as act as Job-ln-Charge for allocated assignments.

Key responsibilities:

Assist the Portfolio Head in developing the Risk Based annual audit plan for the assigned portfolio and support in completion of the plan.

Act as the subject matter expert in the assigned portfolio and provide expert input to all audit teams in the UAE and across the group when requested.

Build strong relationships with the stakeholders to provide credible and valued audit service.

Represent Internal Audit in project implementations, governance meetings, regulatory compliance initiatives etc.

Support the Portfolio Head in finalization of the regulatory audit reports and subsequent reporting to the Board Audit Committee and conduct periodic validation of closure of the audit findings.

Ensure reviews are conducted professionally, efficiently and in compliance with The IIA standards and INA standards.

Stand in for the Portfolio Head, when required in interactions with the senior stakeholders, project forums, governance committees, department leadership meetings and managing other responsibilities.

Review regularly the assigned portfolio through periodic review of Group Risk Committee packs, management packs, etc., Keep self and portfolio manager/Head updated on the portfolio risk and financial information.

The role requires largely remote work from Emirates NBD India offices, however there could be some travel across the Emirates NBD group in the UAE and other locations based on work requirements

Skills and Experience

• Bachelors Degree
• Recognized professional accounting qualification. (E.g. CA/CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor is preferred
• Overall Banking audit experience (10+ years) with proficiency in the areas of the respective portfolio. This will cover strong understanding of Credit Risk, Corporate Banking, Credit Department, Credit Administration processes, Trade Finance, Transaction Banking Services, Financial Institutions (FI), Investment Banking, Stock Brokerage Business CBUAE and other regulatory requirements
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Thorough overall knowledge of Corporate Banking and FI business and operational activities including regulatory requirements.
• Good knowledge of other areas (Treasury, Retail Banking, Operations, Risk Management etc.)
• Thorough overall knowledge of banking business and operational activities
