About the Team and the Role

The Financial Planning and Analysis team at Ather is responsible for the business planning & forecasting, financial reporting and performance reporting of the company.

This role is for a Financial Planning & Analysis - Manager who will be an integral part of the team, anchoring complex financial models and driving digital transformation to instill data-driven financial decision-making behavior across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Anchor all financial models across all SBUs for strategic long-range planning (1y/2y/5y), involving complex wide-scope business simulations.

• Build robust financial analysis and valuation tools to support management in capital allocation projects and provide visibility on key business metrics.

• Monitor and control forecasts vs. actuals in real-time through a robust KPI-based variance reporting structure.

• Partner with key internal stakeholders to monitor performance, identify trends, and produce in-depth assessment reports for management.

• Collaborate with the Investor Relations team on forecasts and special projects such as due diligence for fund-raising and debt strategies.

• Drive digital transformation by creating financial dashboards and data analytics tools for key business and financial metrics.

• Develop sensitivity analysis models to simulate risks and opportunities, creating an early warning framework for short and long-term plans.

• Monitor the EV industry and competitive landscape to benchmark financial and operational KPIs against peers and macro/micro trends.

Experience and Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) - preferable; Master's in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics preferred.

• 6-8 years of experience.

Must Have Competencies

• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic long-term planning and business simulation.

• Utilize advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheets for complex data manipulation and analysis.

• Perform robust business valuation techniques and create visibility on critical financial metrics.

• Synthesize and draw actionable conclusions from large volumes of raw data to support management decision-making.

Good to have Competencies

• Implement digital transformation initiatives and build automated financial dashboards for real-time data analytics.

• Conduct competitive landscape assessments and benchmark operational KPIs against industry peers.

• Apply macro and micro-level economic analysis to identify trends within the EV industry.

• Create sensitivity analysis and risk simulation frameworks to identify early warning signs in business performance.
