Senior Manager - Finance

Job Description

We are looking for a candidate preferably women to join our Finance team to manage the reinsurance function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting of reinsurance-related transactions while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor reinsurance premiums, claims, and recoveries.

• Maintain reinsurance treaties and facultative arrangements.

• Ensure timely accounting, settlement, and reconciliation of reinsurance accounts.

• Coordinate with reinsurers, brokers, IT team and internal departments for data accuracy and timely settlements.

• Track ceded premium calculations and ensure correct booking as per treaty terms.

• Assist in quarterly and annual closing of books and preparation of reinsurance schedules.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of reinsurance accounting principles and treaty structures as per IRDA standards.

• Manage quarterly and annual closing of reinsurance books and ensure timely submission of schedules.
• Monitor & reconcile reinsurance receivable & payables with Reinsurance team, Reinsurance companies & brokers.
• Prepare and analyse reinsurance MIS for management reviews.
• Liaise with internal & statutory auditors, providing required data and justification.
