Role Description
The Senior Manager (Finance) will be responsible for driving statutory compliance, financial reporting, and controls across the organisation. This role requires a proactive finance leader who ensures accuracy in financial reporting, adherence to statutory requirements, and robust governance practices while supporting business expansion and system implementation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Financial Statement Reviews
Conduct monthly Profit & Loss (PnL) reviews with variance analysis and commentary.
Lead quarterly balance sheet reviews, highlighting key outcomes and insights to management.
Manage Fixed Assets (FA), including register upkeep, depreciation schedules, and consolidated FA PnL reporting.
2. Bookkeeping & Compliance
Oversee end-to-end bookkeeping, including monthly closure of books of accounts.
Ensure accounts are maintained in strict compliance with the Companies Act 2013 and applicable accounting standards.
Monitor that every financial transaction is accounted for accurately and in real-time, as per Schedule VI. Prepare and review advance tax workings to ensure timely compliance.
3. Statutory Filing & Audit
Supervise statutory filing tracker across all units: o a) Monthly filings (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, etc.) o b) Annual filings (ROC, ITR, Tax Audit, etc.) o c) Assessment completion and closure of proceedings.
Ensure timely audit closure by 31st July every year.
Circulate periodic Statutory Reporting Trackers (returns, dues payment, pending actions).
4. Controls & Reconciliation
Lead customer and supplier reconciliations periodically.
Ensure compliance with MSME payment timelines.
Oversee KYC/KYV adherence across counterparties.
Conduct periodical and annual stock-taking and physical verification with closure accountability.
5. Systems & Expansion
Support ERP implementation and strengthen system-based accounting controls.
Drive standardisation of reporting across units, aligning processes with organisational expansion. Key Skills & Attributes
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and tax regulations.
Proven track record of handling audits, reconciliations, and financial governance.
Hands-on exposure to ERP systems and technology-driven finance processes.
Analytical mindset with excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
