Role: Sr. Manager - Events & Community

About the Role:

As Events & Community Lead , you will be at the forefront of shaping how Indias most promising early-stage founders connect, collaborate, and grow. This is not just an events role its about building a high-trust, high-value ecosystem around Z47 and DeVC.

Youll design and execute world-class experiences across formats from closed-door roundtables and founder dinners to flagship summits and digital events while also nurturing the broader Z47 community. You'll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to create moments that matter, deepen relationships, and elevate Z47s presence across the startup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

Events Strategy & Execution

• Design and implement a high-leverage events calendar aligned with Z47s brand and founder-first mission
• Own planning and execution across formats roundtables, mixers, offsites, demo days, founder retreats, webinars, etc.
• Ensure seamless event delivery and exceptional attendee experiences

Community & Ecosystem Engagement

• Build and nurture a thriving community of founders, operators, and ecosystem stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for connection, collaboration, and knowledge sharing
• Partner with internal teams (Talent, GTM, Capital, Content) to design relevant and high-impact programming

Brand & Experience

• Elevate Z47s brand through thoughtful experiences and content-led programming
• Maintain and evolve the events playbook to drive consistency, quality, and scalability
• Track event performance, feedback, and community impact metrics

What Were Looking For:

Must-Have

• 610 years of experience in event management, event curations, community building, or related functions
• Strong execution capability with experience managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams
• Passion for startups, ecosystem engagement, and founder-first thinking

Nice to Have

• Exposure to B2B or startup ecosystems, especially VC or operator networks
• Experience building founder or functional communities (e.g., product, GTM, capital)
• Understanding of early-stage startup challenges and venture capital landscape

Key Skills

• High ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity
• Familiarity with tools like Notion, Zoom, Eventbrite, Typeform, and community platforms
