Position Title: Senior Manager Engineering :

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead 23 medium-sized projects and manage 34 subsystems.
• Oversee a team of 1020 resources (may include contractors).
• Work closely with Senior Leadership to ensure alignment with business priorities and strategic technology initiatives.
• Accountable for successful delivery (on-time, on-budget, with highest quality) of all integration and AI-driven projects across different tools and technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to evaluate third-party systems, prototype new components, and drive adoption of Generative AI solutions for productivity and innovation.
• Ensure alignment with company standards and propose optimizations for existing processes, leveraging AI-based automation where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate future needs.
• Foster strong vendor partnerships to enhance functionality, reliability, and cost savings, including partnerships in AI and data platforms.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and staff development.
• Hire, train, and lead a high-caliber, diverse team of technology specialists with expertise in modern engineering tech stacks and AI / ML.
• Promote a workplace environment that supports continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices.

Experience:

• 10+ years of application development / engineering and / or data architecture experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading technical and functional development teams.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Demonstrated ability to manage costs and benefits associated with technology services.
• Exposure to areas like Time-series demand forecasting and Labor planning will be highly preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively at both technical and executive levels.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to act with initiative and urgency

Skills Required:

• 710+ years of experience in development and engineering.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, ReactJS, Spring Boot, and modern cloud-based frameworks.
• Expertise in Data Engineering on Databricks and GCP platforms and frameworks like Spark SQL.
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Microservices, and API management.
• Familiarity with API / Code Security and Moder Observability patterns & best practices.
• Knowledge of event streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Experience with cloud-based Relational and NoSQL databases (AzureSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong system design and enterprise architecture skills.
• Familiarity with regression, classification, and time-series forecasting ML models and related concepts.
• Results-oriented with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior management, technical experts, and business customers.
• Strong engineering delivery skills with a bias for action and customer focus.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, Operations, and Technology) to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaboration.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with GenAI dev tools like Copilot, Claude Code, and similar platforms.
• Ability to integrate AI-driven insights into business processes for efficiency and scalability.
