Position Title: Sr. Manager Engineering
Job Description:
We are excited to announce an opening for Senior Manager Engineering at ACI. Please find below the details of the role and its responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 2-3 medium size projects and manage 3-4 subsystems.
- Oversee a team of 10 - 20 resources (may include contractors).
- Work closely with their director to ensure that they clearly understand the business priorities and are working on the right project.
- Accountable for the successful delivery (on-time, on-budget, w/ highest quality) of all Integration projects across different tools and technologies.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to evaluate third party systems and their integrations, prototype new components, as per the requirements.
- Ensure alignment with the company's standards and procedures and propose optimizations for existing processes to expedite day-to-day job.
- Should be data and metrics oriented.
- Work closely with other teams to capture and understand their future needs in advance.
- Foster a strong vendor partnership that encourages collaboration and offers improvement opportunities for functionality, reliability and cost savings.
- Provide team members with an environment of coaching, mentoring, feedback and staff development.
- Hire, coach, train, and lead a high Caliber and diverse team of professional technology specialists who will provide development expertise and guidance across IT.
- Lead efforts to ensure the workplace environment supports a highly motivated and effective workforce focused on continuous improvement and best practices
Experience:
- 10+ years of full stack development.
- 5+years of experience leading effective development teams that are both technical and functional.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end payment's ecosystem, including digital payments, card networks, real time payments, settlement, reconciliation, and dispute management.
- Experience working with ISO 8583, ISO 20022, payment gateways, tokenization, fraud detection, and PCI compliance.
- Prior experience building high availability, low latency transaction systems processing large transaction volumes.
- Proven ability to deliver against project schedules and timelines with quality.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively manage key objectives of the costs and benefits associated with the implementation and operation of technology services
- Ability to build a team and maintain positive working relationships of the team across the company.
- Ability to communicate at both a technical and executive level.
- Results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the demonstrated abilityto lead and influence IT professionals across the enterprise.
- Comfortable with ambiguity as needs changeon a regular basis with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency.
- Excellent oral and written skills with the ability to interact with senior management, technical subjectmatter experts, and business customers are all essential in this role.
- Ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously.

- 7-10+ years of experience in development and engineering.
- Experience leading technical and functional development teams.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Java, ReactJS, HTML, Spring Boot, and other relevant technologies.
- Experience with Azure / GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and API management.
- Strong system design skills.
- Results-oriented with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior management, technical experts, and business customers.
- Strong engineering delivery skills with a bias for action and customer focus.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, Operations, and Technology) to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaboration.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL ,test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Mockito).
- Familiarity with data streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Experience with Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or other NoSQL and SQL database management systems.
- Knowledge of Copilot and other similar tools.
