Must-Have Requirements

Education: IIT / NIT (Tier-1 institutes preferred)

Experience: 12+ years in Data Engineering / Data Architecture

Strong expertise in GCP (BigQuery) and AWS ecosystem

Hands-on with Kafka/MSK, Debezium, CDC pipelines

Experience building and scaling data platforms from scratch

Strong programming in Java & Python

Expertise in BigQuery, Redshift, NoSQL systems

Experience with Airflow, Iceberg, Glue, Athena

Deep understanding of data lakes, streaming vs batch architectures

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Manager Data Engineering to lead and scale a next-generation data platform. This role will drive the architecture and execution of real-time data systems, data lakes, and analytics infrastructure across cloud environments.

You will take ownership of an already established data ecosystem and elevate it to higher levels of scale, reliability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilitiesonsibilities

• Own and scale data lake & OLAP ecosystems (real-time to analytics layer)
• Lead development of real-time data pipelines using Kafka/MSK, Debezium (CDC), and BigQuery
• Drive end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects
• Build and enhance frameworks using Java & Python
• Design scalable data lakes using S3, Iceberg, Glue, Athena
• Define and enforce data modeling standards (BigQuery, Redshift)
• Lead cloud-native architecture (GCP + AWS) using ECS/EKS, Terraform, Docker
• Collaborate with ML, product & business teams for advanced analytics use cases
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and observability
• Mentor and lead high-performing data engineering teams

Good to Have

• Exposure to dbt, Pinot, Trino/Presto, ClickHouse, Druid
• Experience with data security (GDPR, PCI compliance)
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Terraform, DevOps practices
• Fintech / financial services background
