Role Overview
TheSenior Manager (CAS) will oversee the end-to-end bookkeeping operations for U.S.-based CPA clients, ensure top-quality service delivery, manage client relationships, and lead continuous technical and process improvements. This is both aleadership and client-facing role that demands a strong blend of accounting expertise, communication skills, and a passion for developing people and processes.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary liaison between U.S. clients and the internal bookkeeping teams.
- Conduct regular client review calls and address escalations proactively.
- Build trust-based relationships with clients through clear communication, reliability, and value delivery.
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversee CAS processes for multiple CPA firm clientsensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Monitor team performance, manage delivery schedules, and ensure adherence to client SLAs.
- Drive standardization and automation in bookkeeping procedures.
- Technical Mentorship & Training:
- Conduct ongoing training sessions for the bookkeeping team on U.S. GAAP, QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Xero, Bill and related software.
- Review workpapers, reconciliations, and monthly close files for quality control.
- Stay updated on accounting and technology trends to continuously upskill the team.
- Strategic Growth & Value Addition:
- Identify opportunities to expand services and introduce value-added solutions (e.g., management reporting, dashboards, process automation, FP&A).
- Collaborate with leadership to build new service lines and client offerings.
- Educational Background: CA / CPA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in bookkeeping/accounting, including at least 35 years in a leadership or client management role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong command of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online & Desktop), Xero, Billand Excel.
- Experience with U.S. accounting standards and working with CPA firms.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong team management and mentoring abilities.
