Job Description
Job Title: Senior Manager: Lead - Internal Controls & Assurance
Reporting Relationship: Head Transformation, Assurance and Compliance
Purpose: This role reports to the Head Transformation, Assurance and Compliance and is responsible for leading enterprise-wide financial assurance governance. The position drives the design, implementation, and continuous strengthening of internal financial and process controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and risk mitigation. It also ensures full adherence with applicable financial commitments and compliance, while embedding robust monitoring mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify control gaps and recommend and implement remediation plans, including policy updates, system enhancements, automation controls, and strengthened approval mechanisms.
- Conduct periodic and structured review of accounting policies to ensure alignment with applicable accounting standards regulatory requirements, and evolving business models. Govern depreciation and amortization policies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable accounting frameworks. Evaluate the adequacy and relevance of existing SOPs, process notes, and control checklists across finance and cross-functional processes (Procurement, Capex, Tech, Revenue, etc.). Drive documentation standardization and version control of policies and SOPs to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Ensure strong internal financial controls and process controls are embedded across functions.
- Establish and maintain a robust financial assurance framework by implementing structured quarterly certifications and formal confirmations from relevant stakeholders to validate compliance with financial controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Internal Audit, Statutory Auditors, and Compliance teams to address control gaps and remediation actions.
- Drive continuous improvement in governance, risk mitigation, and process standardization.
- Conduct periodic asset reviews and reconciliations to maintain integrity of asset registers.
- Ensure adherence to the Code of Conduct for all finance-related decisions and compliance.

- Ensuring efficient operation of the team, adoption of best practices and driving automation.
- Establish and improve SOPs, policy documentation and checklists.
- Team management -assessing current and expected skill requirements, building capability through training programs, monitoring deliverables and achievement against targets, regular interaction with team members and stakeholders.
