We are hiring for a fast-growing professional services platform focused on the accounting industry, with teams and operations across multiple locations in the US and India.
Job Title: Senior Manager
Reports to: Director Accounting & Finance
Location: Hyderabad, India
As a Senior Manager Corporate HQ Accounting Team, you will be responsible for weekly and monthly accounting We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented manager to join our Corporate Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in US GAAP accounting and a strong background in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. This role requires a proactive professional who can manage complex accounting processes, mentor junior staff, and support the firms financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries,
reconciliations, Book -Keeping and variance analyse
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Post journal entries and perform reconciliations
- Conduct variance analysis and maintain month-end schedules
- Work on WIP & AR activity and reserves
- Handle bad debt expense, bonus accruals, payroll accruals, lease/rent, prepaid expenses, and depreciation
Accounts Payable
- Review vendor bills daily and categorize expenses accurately
- Identify fixed assets for capitalization
- Identify and account for prepaid expenses
- Process employee reimbursements
- Process credit card transactions
Accounts Receivable
- Perform customer ledger reconciliations
- Knock-off invoice payments and daily cash receipts
- Prepare cash receipt reports (legacy and non-legacy accounts)
Bank Reconciliation
- Reconcile all bank transactions with vendor/customer ledgers
- Knock-off bank charges and legacy transactions
- Reconcile complete month-end bank statements
Month-End Activities
- Fetch and store bank reports in shared locations
- Bill back to end clients as per SOP
- Raise month-end invoices (Spectrum Invoice)
- Prepare and post journal entries for all month-end activities
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Support audits with accurate and timely documentation
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls
- Stay updated on US GAAP and regulatory changes
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CA preferred)
- Minimum 12+ years of progressive accounting experience (professional services firm preferred)
- 5+ Years of team leading experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite or Quickbooks
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Timings
Since this role interfaces directly with US-based teams, the working hours will be 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.
