Senior Manager - Java Development

Job Title: Sr Manager – Java Development          

Education: BTech/MCA/MTech

Experience:

·         15-18 Years of total IT experience

·         Mandatory experience of 6-8 years in managing Software projects

·         for development and maintenance of enterprise class business IT applications in Banking domain in one of the following set ups:

1.       Tier 1 IT companies

2.       IT captives of MNC Banks

3.       IT Product companies focused on Banking sector 

Ø  Proven expertise in the following process areas:

·         SDLC Methodologies (Waterfall/ Agile)

·         Estimation techniques

·         Project Planning using Microsoft project (MPP)

·         Risk Management

·         Stakeholder management

·         Should possess good understanding of architecture of different enterprise application to enable better in troubleshooting of environment issues.

·         Hands on Experience in Java and J2EE platforms including Spring, design pattern, angular, UI framework, CI-CD, Microservices Architecture and other tools, should be willing to perform design and code reviews and hand hold developers to be more efficient. Focus on quality in initial cycle of development knowledge of BDD tools like Cucumber is a plus.

·         The role will have responsibility to manage multiple technologies, research & innovation projects (Data Science, AI/ML, BIG data, NLP & deep learning projects) in the vertical.

·         Experience working in a multi-skilled engineering environment coordinating Change Requests and Service Requests.

·         Experience of managing IT projects within agreed timelines. prepare SOW & its discussion and scope finalization with stakeholders.

·         Experience of working with 3rd party vendors/internal IT team

·         Management skills to manage one or more large, complex projects simultaneously

·         Expertise in the use of industry-standard project methods, tools and techniques e.g. RAIDS, budget, communication

·         Working knowledge of project management tools such as – Microsoft

·         Project or Smartsheet or other industry standard tools is desired

·         Strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Working experience of performance management and goal setting of team members and self.

Responsibilities:

·         Act as a subject matter expert of assigned applications, and as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders

·         Interface directly with software vendors and consultants for development and support as applicable

·         Consult directly with users to assess their needs and then create and implement a strategy to improve either the business or application

·         Assist the business in developing business requirements and creating technical/functional documentation

·         Determining the resource requirements and hiring the required resources for the project
