Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Data Analytics will lead the development and implementation of data-driven strategies, leveraging Power BI to provide actionable insights for business decision-making. This role involves overseeing BI architecture, optimizing data visualization, and ensuring seamless data integration across systems. The position requires strong leadership to drive data governance, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement in analytics capabilities.

What you'll do:

•Power BI Strategy & Implementation – Lead the design, development, and deployment of Power BI solutions to transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions.

•BI Architecture & Data Modeling – Oversee data architecture, ETL processes, and data modeling to ensure efficient, scalable, and optimized BI solutions.

•Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Insights – Work closely with business leaders to understand reporting needs, translate business requirements into analytical solutions, and drive data-driven decision-making.

•Data Governance & Quality Assurance – Establish best practices for data governance, ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational and industry standards.

•Team Leadership & Mentorship – Manage and mentor BI analysts and developers, fostering skill development and ensuring high performance in BI initiatives.

•Performance Optimization & Automation – Continuously improve Power BI dashboards and reports by optimizing performance, enhancing user experience, and automating repetitive reporting tasks.

•Emerging Technologies & Best Practices – Stay updated with the latest advancements in Power BI, data visualization trends, and BI best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:

Technical Skills:

•Expertise in Power BI – Advanced proficiency in developing dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (M language).

•Data Modeling & ETL Processes – Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling (Star & Snowflake schemas), and ETL pipelines.

•SQL & Database Management – Proficiency in SQL for querying, optimizing, and managing data across relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Snowflake).

•Cloud & Big Data Platforms – Experience working with cloud-based BI solutions such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, including services like Azure Data Factory or Synapse Analytics.

•Data Governance & Security – Knowledge of data governance principles, security models in Power BI, row-level security (RLS), and compliance best practices.

•Performance Optimization – Ability to optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for speed, efficiency, and scalability.

•Automation & Scripting – Familiarity with scripting tools (e.g., Python, R, or Power Automate) to enhance BI capabilities and automate reporting workflows.

Leadership & Business Skills:

•Stakeholder Management – Experience engaging with senior leadership, translating business needs into BI solutions, and presenting insights effectively.

•Strategic Thinking – Ability to align BI initiatives with business goals, drive innovation, and enhance data-driven decision-making.

•Team Leadership & Mentorship – Proven ability to manage and mentor BI teams, fostering growth and performance.

•Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking – Strong analytical skills to identify trends, solve business challenges, and improve BI processes.

•Project Management – Experience managing BI projects, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

•Experience Required:

•8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles.

•5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including developing enterprise-level BI solutions.

•3+ years of leadership experience managing BI teams or projects.

•Experience working in a large-scale data environment with complex business reporting needs.

•Strong background in SQL, data modeling, and cloud-based BI tools (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

•Industry experience in retail.

Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. 1 year's supervisory experience.
