Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Product Specialist (T) with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in JCL VSAM DB2 COBOL Mainframe OmniStation OmniPlus and Omni Script. Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus. This hybrid role requires working during the day shift with no travel required.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of mainframe applications using JCL VSAM DB2 and COBOL to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Oversee the integration of OmniStation OmniPlus and Omni Script into existing systems to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mainframe applications to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring that solutions meet business needs and objectives.
  • Develop and implement best practices for mainframe application development and maintenance to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all mainframe applications and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and reduce resource consumption.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the continuous improvement of mainframe applications.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members to foster their professional growth and development.
  • Participate in project planning and management activities to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards to maintain the integrity and security of mainframe applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in mainframe application development.

    • Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical skills in JCL VSAM DB2 COBOL Mainframe OmniStation OmniPlus and Omni Script.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in mainframe application development and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in Life and Annuities Insurance is a plus.
  • Show a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
