Senior Magento 2 Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experiencedSenior Magento 2 Developerto lead the design, development, optimization, and scaling of enterprise-level eCommerce solutions built onMagento 2. The ideal candidate should have deep architectural knowledge, strong backend expertise, and hands-on experience handling complex integrations and high-traffic stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable eCommerce platforms usingMagento 2
• Lead custom module development and advanced theme customization
• Design and implement complex third-party integrations (ERP, CRM, Payment Gateways, OMS)
• Optimize performance (caching, indexing, database tuning, Elasticsearch, Varnish)
• Ensure code quality through best practices, design patterns, and code reviews
• Manage Magento upgrades, patches, and security hardening
• Implement REST/GraphQL APIs for headless or mobile integrations
• Guide junior developers and conduct technical mentoring
• Participate in architectural decisions and technical strategy planning
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
• Work closely with DevOps for CI/CD deployments

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of PHP development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience withMagento 2
• Strong understanding of:
• Magento 2 Architecture (Dependency Injection, Plugins, Observers, Events)
• Service Contracts
• EAV Model
• Indexing & Caching mechanisms
• Expertise in:
• Custom module development
• API development (REST & GraphQL)
• Performance optimization
• Payment and shipping integrations
• Strong knowledge of:
• MySQL
• Elasticsearch
• Redis
• Varnish
• Composer & Git
• Experience with Linux server environments (Apache/Nginx)
• Familiarity with headless commerce & PWA is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Magento Certification (Adobe Commerce Certified Developer preferred)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Magento Cloud)
• Experience handling high-traffic, large-catalog stores
• Knowledge of security standards and PCI compliance
