- WLAN Protocol Stack: Work on upper-layer protocol integration, including hostapd, wpa_supplicant, and networking stacks, to ensure robust connectivity.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Perform root cause analysis of complex system-level issues, including kernel panics, race conditions, and memory leaks, using tools like JTAG, GDB, and ftrace.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize WiFi drivers for throughput, latency, and power consumption to meet product requirements.
- Hardware Bring-up: Collaborate with hardware teams to bring up new SoC platforms and WLAN peripherals.
- Code Review & Documentation: Participate in design discussions and code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Required Technical Skills
- Linux Kernel Expertise: 38 years of professional experience in Linux driver development, specifically in the networking domain.
- Programming Languages: Expert-level C programming skills for embedded systems.
- WLAN Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards, including Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7 (802.11ac/ax/be).
- Interfaces: Experience with PCIe, SDIO, or USB interfaces.
- Tools: Proficient in using Git, debugging tools (Wireshark, JTAG), and building with Yocto/Buildroot.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific chipset vendors (Qualcomm Atheros, Broadcom, MediaTek).
- Familiarity with the mac80211 framework.
- Knowledge of RTOS (e.g., Zephyr) is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
