Senior Legal Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Legal Manager to join our dynamic fintech entity. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic legal partner to the Product and Technology teams , ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, mitigating risks associated with SaaS platforms, and enabling innovation within a robust legal framework.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Research, Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

• Monitor, interpret, and advise on RBI Guidelines , MCA updates , DPDP Act & Rules , IT Act and Rules , and other applicable fintech and corporate regulations.
• Provide strategic legal inputs to stakeholders for implementing regulatory updates and ensuring compliance with the laws of the land.
• Design and implement compliance programs, policies, and workflows to ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.

2. Contract & Transaction Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to technology, intellectual property, MSAs, SaaS agreements, NDAs , and other commercial arrangements.
• Lead contract negotiations ensuring compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and industry standards while safeguarding organizational interests.
• Develop and maintain master templates, checklists, and SOPs for faster turnaround and consistency across business teams.
• Mentor and guide junior legal team members on drafting, vetting, and reviewing contracts.

3. Risk Management, Policy & Strategic Advisory

• Identify and mitigate legal risks in technology products , including SaaS and AI-driven solutions.
• Develop internal compliance frameworks and governance policies .
• Advise on intellectual property, licensing, and technology-related legal issues .
• Support general corporate legal matters and assist in strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

• LLB (LLM preferred) from a recognized institution.
• 57 years PQE , with significant in-house experience in fintech and technology services .
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, payments law, AML/KYC, AI and data protection frameworks .
• Proven experience in end-to-end contract management .
