Senior Legal Manager - Food Laws

DS Group is looking for an experienced legal professional with strong expertise in Food Laws (FSSAI), Legal Metrology, and Consumer Protection Act to manage end-to-end litigation and provide strategic legal advisory to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle litigation under Food Laws, Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection before Supreme Court, High Courts & District Courts
• Coordinate with Senior Advocates, AORs and external law firms; prepare briefs, defense strategies and case notes
• Advise business teams on product labels, advertisements and promotional schemes
• Track new laws/amendments, assess business impact and represent before regulators and government bodies
• Drive legal risk assessment, compliance and internal legal audits

Qualifications & Experience

• LL.B (5-year integrated preferred) from a reputed university
• 1012 years experience in Food Laws, preferably in FMCG / Food Industry

Key Skills

• Strong domain knowledge of FSSAI, Legal Metrology & Consumer Laws
• Business-oriented legal mindset, strong drafting & communication skills
• Stakeholder management, leadership capability and willingness to travel
