Job overview

As part of the Business Operations & Technology (BOT) team, the Senior Lead Developer will lead the design, development, and implementation of automation and AI-based solutions across the firm. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills to guide a team of developers, collaborate across business functions, and drive technological initiatives that enhance efficiency and innovation within Everest Group.


Key responsibilities

Lead the development of automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, including workflows for Excel/PowerPoint automation, data extraction, reporting, and system integrations

Design and deploy AI-driven solutions, such as custom GPTs, AI agents, and LLM-based tools, to enhance productivity and decision-making across teams

Guide and mentor junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and high quality output

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements, design scalable solutions, and manage delivery timelines

Integrate internal tools with third-party platforms (Salesforce, SharePoint, Zoho, ADP, OneDrive, etc.) using APIs or automation frameworks

Identify process inefficiencies, propose improvements, and drive adoption of innovative technology solutions

In collaboration with the IT team, ensure performance, security, and maintainability of deployed applications


Skills & activities

Proficiency in Python, including automation, APIs, and scripting

Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and generative AI, especially OpenAI platforms

Experience with VBA, REST APIs, and system integrations

Working knowledge of SQL, cloud platforms, and modern development practices (Git, CI/CD, Agile)

Proven ability to lead technical teams, conduct code reviews, and mentor others Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills


Education & experience

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering related field

More than 7 years of experience in software or automation development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role

Experience with AI/LLM-based implementations preferred
