As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.
Job responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective solutions on cloud (preferably AWS)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and implement cloud strategies, including migration plans, deployment models and governance practices.
- Ensure best practices in cloud security, compliance, and performance optimization.
- Conduct regular assessments of existing cloud infrastructure and recommend improvements with respect to resiliency, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML and AWS services.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand AI/ML requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices.
- Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks.
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Practical cloud native experience with proven experience as cloud architect or similar role with a focus on AWS
- Extensive experience as a Cloud Architect with a focus on designing and deploying AI/ML solutions.
- Experience with cloud migration tools and strategies.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- AWS Solution Architect (Associate or Professional) and Terraform certifications are highly desirable.
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
