Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain JIRA plugins and extensions to meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Integrate JIRA with various external tools and systems to ensure seamless workflow across platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that enhance user experience and productivity.
• Troubleshoot and optimize JIRA configurations, workflows, custom fields, dashboards, and reports.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of JIRA projects and plugins through effective testing and quality assurance practices.
• Provide technical support and training to JIRA users and administrators.
• Keep abreast of the latest Atlassian tools and marketplace plugins to recommend and implement improvements.
• Document all technical procedures and user guides for developed plugins and integrations.
• Work closely with the IT security team to ensure that all JIRA development complies with company security policies.
• Work closely with technical teams like python development team, Power Apps team etc to solve complex problems.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of experience in JIRA development, IT service management and Java
• Proven experience in JIRA development and Atlassian SDK.
• Strong understanding of Java and REST APIs.
• Experience with integrating JIRA with external tools such as ServiceNow, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence, and other CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of JIRA database architecture and experience with SQL queries is a plus.
• Atlassian certifications such as ACP-JA (Jira Administrator) are highly desirable.
