Senior Java Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer (Java Backend) to drive technology delivery across cross-asset and cross-financial product implementations. The role involves working closely with application/platform leads, business users, and trading desks to understand business requirements and deliver cutting-edge, scalable solutions for institutional clients (Sell-side and Buy-side).

This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong design, development, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and end-to-end delivery of products and solutions
• Execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and develop MVPs for new initiatives
• Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices
• Perform code reviews for critical modules
• Guide and mentor developers; remove technical bottlenecks
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand priorities and translate them into technical solutions
• Conduct knowledge-sharing and technology sessions
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure solution architecture

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 810 years of hands-on experience in Backend Java development
• Strong experience with Java 11/17
• Expertise in Spring Boot
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with Kafka (or any prior messaging solution)
• Build tools: Maven (MVN) / Gradle
• Cloud experience with either:
• Azure (Compute, CosmosDB/Postgres, Key Store, Networking, Identity & Security) OR AWS (Compute, DynamoDB/Postgres, KMS, Networking, Identity & Security)
• Monitoring tools: Splunk, AppDynamics, AWS/Azure Logging
• Version control: GitHub
• Experience in test automation at different levels (Unit, Integration, etc.)
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices
• CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / Ansible

Nice to Have

• Experience with Static Code Analysis tools
• Experience with Helm customization
• Exposure to financial domain/trading platforms
• Microservices architecture experience
