About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Developer with strong experience in building scalable backend systems and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and AWS, along with a solid understanding of deployment and cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and manage microservices-based architectures
• Develop RESTful APIs and ensure high availability and performance
• Work closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver robust solutions
• Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services, including Lambda
• Handle application deployment, monitoring, and optimisation in cloud environments
• Ensure code quality through reviews, best practices, and proper documentation
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of professional experience in backend development
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
• Solid experience with AWS cloud services, especially AWS Lambda
• Good understanding of cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and modern backend frameworks
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite, collaborative environment

Good to Have

• Experience with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud applications
