In this role, you will:
· Successful candidate will be participating in whole range of front to back architecture, design and development activities. It is vital that candidate should challenge status quo and help explore new avenues of efficiency.
· Design and develop technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
· Apply a broad range of software engineering best practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
· Ensure the quality, security, reliability and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
. Proven track record of building platforms involving front end, back end components

You’ll be working in the KeyLink team in Pune within the UBS Wealth Management function. Our role is to provide cutting edge eBanking services to our professional wholesale clients globally. The application is currently in a phase of renewal and your skills are vital to the strategic direction and success of the future platform. The application is used globally both internally and externally 24/7 with an approximate throughput of USD 600bn per month.

Your expertise

Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of professional experience in Java application development
• Strong knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot, Java 11 or later
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Proficient in designing and deploying containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, message queues (Kafka/SQS), and event-driven architectures
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and DevOps practices
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Splunk, BigPanda, Grafana )
• Track record of delivering successful, complex, large scale applications
• solid understanding of the fundamentals of computer science, including design patterns
• knowledge of distributed systems and microservice architectures
• clean coding skills and excellent problem solving ability
• fluency in functional and non-functional testing practices
Nice to Have
• Experience with Serverless architecture (Azure Functions)
• Kotlin
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and development of scalable and secure backend services using Java (Spring Boot, Java 11+)
• Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on Azure
• Design APIs (RESTful or gRPC) and integrate with third-party systems
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLabs or using Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Apply best practices in performance, security, monitoring, and cost optimization
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ensure high code quality through code reviews, testing, and automation
