A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements related to distribution centre operations and IT systems.
  • Analyse current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvements, and recommend technology solutions to streamline operations.
  • Work closely with development, integration and testing teams to implement software changes that meet business needs, ensuring minimal disruption to distribution centre activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Deploy new and current systems, processes, and procedures in a cost-effective manner.
  • Configure system settings, plan, and execute unit, system and integration tests and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems enhancements for SAP
  • SAP Source to Pay (purchase orders, source lists and PIRs and inventory management), EDI integration knowledge, understanding the logic of interfaces
  • Stay current with industry trends on customs, trade compliance and emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the company's IT and business processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, systems and project
    activities.
     

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience as an IT Business Analyst, IT Technical Analyst, SAP consultant with a preferred focus on warehousing and distribution.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and terminology related to intercompany processes and mergers & acquisitions of non-SAP systems into SAP.
  • Knowledge in customization of SAP Source to Pay and inventory management (purchase orders, source lists and PIRs and inventory management), EDI integration knowledge, understanding the logic of interfaces.
  • Knowledge in SAP Customization (SPRO): Logistics Execution (Order to Cash), and Warehouse Management.
  • Solid knowledge in Inter/Intra-company process and 3rd Party Purchase via EDI(Interfaces).
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate EDI systems and processes with internal/external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency.
  • Understanding of IT change processes and/or SAP solution delivery processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and technologies used in distribution centers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements:

  • Some level of travel may be required to support project requirements
  • Some out of hours work will be required, including attending virtual meetings in different time zones

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with SAP GTS
  • SAP Debugging experience
  • Experience with SAP S4HANA implementations
  • Experience with the Medical Technology sector
  • Experience in with migrating and integrating non-SAP systems into an global SAP landscape
