A Day in the Life

  • Review and refine migration strategy and plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Provide guidance and direction to team members on technical aspects of the migration process, including system architecture, data migration, and testing.
  • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to update on project progress, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
  • Perform hands-on technical work, such as system configuration, data mapping, and troubleshooting, as needed to support the migration effort.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as BASIS administrators, developers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of efforts.
  • Monitor migration activities, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of migration progress, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Communicate with senior management and key stakeholders to provide updates on migration status, highlight achievements, and address concerns.
  • Utilize Winshuttle for data migration tasks, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Provide expertise in Winshuttle functionalities, training team members as needed to leverage its capabilities effectively.
  • Troubleshooting and Support.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements 

  • 8+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with SAP Material, Customer, and Vendor Master Data conversions
  • Strong understanding of Data Migration Methodology (ETL) including profiling, cleansing, and validation activities
  • Handson experience with LSMW and Data Migration Cockpit
  • Experience with using various data migration tools and solutions that apply to SAP data migration implementations (Syniti, BODS, MDG, etc.)
  • S4 HANA implementation experience
  • Experience working across US and multiple time zones.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice to Have   

  • Previous medical device and/or work experience in a FDA regulated industry.
  • Experience with SAP system administration, configuration, sizing, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of ABAP Development Programming Skills
  • Knowledge of MDM solutions to create and maintain master data
  • Knowledge on SAP S/4 and other SAP models that would require converted data in a transformation program
  • Working knowledge of Signavio is desired.
  • SAP Certifications
