Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital & IT Controls and Audit Support Specialist to develop, enhance, and oversee IT and digital controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and govern the IT/digital controls framework, aligning with best practices (COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL) and UAE regulations (NESA, ADHICS, UAE Data Protection Law).
• Draft, review, and update controls to support risk management, cybersecurity, and audit goals
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and IT teams for comprehensive control coverage.
• Lead annual IT/digital controls assessments and coordinate internal/external audits (preparation, execution, liaison, findings response, remediation tracking, and follow-ups).
• Act as primary point of contact for regulatory/compliance audits, monitor compliance, identify gaps, and recommend remediation.
• Maintain centralized governance controls repository with versioning, access controls, audit trails, and up-to-date documentation lifecycle.
• Design and deliver annual awareness/training programs and workshops to promote risk-aware culture across IT, security, and business teams.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to align controls with business/regulatory changes, provide strategic recommendations for enhancements, automation, and efficiency, track/report performance metrics and improvement insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IT controls, audit, supports compliance, or digital governance within large enterprises.
• Strong expertise in IT control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL, SOX, and UAE regulatory standards (e.g., NESA, ADHICS, UAE Data Protection Law).
• Hands-on experience in designing, assessing, and optimizing IT and digital controls.
• Proven experience in audit coordination, including working with internal and external auditors.
• Experience managing IT governance and compliance documentation, including control registers and audit repositories.
• Strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence control strategies.

Skills and Attributes

• Experience in Oil & Gas or other regulated industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms and IT compliance tools.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, particularly in audit tracking and compliance monitoring.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
