About the role

The Database & Cloud Security Specialist will be responsible for administering on premise and cloud infrastructure including servers, storage, networks, firewalls, and virtualization, ensuring high availability and performance of business critical systems including ERP, HR, finance, and collaboration tools

Oversee endpoint management including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals

), overseeing Azure cloud operations, and ensuring robust security protocols across all IT assets. This role is key to protecting sensitive business data and maintaining system integrity across the enterprise.

Duties & Responsibilities

Infrastructure Operations

• Administer and manage Windows Server environments and Active Directory including user management, group policies, permissions, and security controls
• Manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure covering servers, storage, virtualization, firewalls, and Azure
• Ensure high availability and performance of business-critical systems including

Internal Server

• Upgrade, install, and configure hardware and software to meet organizational objectives
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Mac, along with antivirus and enterprise applications
• Oversee endpoint management including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and peripherals
• Manage IT assets, file systems, inventory, and lifecycle management

Network Management

• Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity across offices and plants
• Configure and manage Cisco routers and switches
• Implement NAT, port forwarding, VLANs, and access control rules
• Monitor network traffic and performance to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Maintain and manage on-premise network peripherals and infrastructure components

Firewall, Network Security, and VPN Management

• Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls including firewall policy management and VPN setup
• Control inbound and outbound traffic using firewall rules and access control policies
• Monitor network activity and respond to potential security threats
• Deploy and configure firewalls including lab-based firewall deployments for testing and validation
• Implement traffic monitoring, logging, and security controls

Security and Compliance

• Implement and enforce IT security controls aligned with ISO 27001 and DPDP Act requirements
• Enforce access controls, patch management, antivirus, endpoint protection, encryption, and identity access management
• Ensure infrastructure readiness for data privacy, logging, audit trails, and breach response
• Support security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reviews
• Respond to security incidents and support investigation and remediation activities

Microsoft Office 365 and Email Administration

• Administer Microsoft Office 365 including user account creation, email management, permissions, security policies, and controls
• Manage Microsoft Email systems including setup, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Support enterprise collaboration tools including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Incident, Problem, and IT Support Management

• Act as escalation point for infrastructure, network, and security incidents
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to employees
• Resolve issues related to email, internet, applications, hardware, and operating systems
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues including desktops, servers, printers, scanners,and networking devices
• Coordinate with application, security, and business teams during major incidents

Vendor, Asset, and Operations Management

• Manage infrastructure vendors, ISPs, cloud providers, OEMs, and support partners
• Negotiate contracts, SLAs, renewals, and service performance metrics
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and governance

CCTV and Physical Security Systems

• nstall, configure, maintain, and monitor CCTV camera systems including NVR, DVR, IP, HD, and PTZ cameras
• Ensure operational availability and security compliance of surveillance infrastructure

Governance

• Supervise, mentor, and guide IT department staff
• Define and enforce infrastructure standards, SOPs, and best practices
• Support IT governance policies including acceptable use, access control, and physical
• security
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational

manuals

Database Administration

• Provide basic administration and monitoring of SQL Server environments
• Manage database backups, recovery processes, and performance monitoring
• Implement database-level security including user roles and permissions

Cloud and Advanced Tools Exposure

• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Support cloud-based collaboration, identity, and security services

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

• B Tech, BE, MCA, or equivalent in Computer Science or IT
• Relevant certifications such as Azure, AWS, CCNA, ITIL, or ISO 27001 preferred

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in database administration and IT security
