The Global Talent Mobility (GTM) function enables the movement of selected talent into and within Expedia Group, both internationally and domestically, so that we can Go Get What’s Next. GTM is a strategic talent lever that promotes career development, allows skill gaps within the organization to be filled—temporarily or permanently—encourages knowledge sharing between teams, and supports embedding Expedia Group’s culture in each location.
In this role you will
Consistently respond to stakeholder requests in an accurate, timely, and professional manner
Understand internal and external customers’ needs and begin developing the skills necessary to help them address business challenges
Continuously build understanding of the organization's processes, objectives, and challenges, and their impact on the business
Learn about HR technical areas (e.g., HRIS, Talent Management) and their application within the company; develop familiarity with relevant internal policies and procedures
Assist in designing, implementing, and administering process, programmatic, or system-based solutions
Build knowledge of best practices in the HR technical/professional space and understand their unique application within the company
Review overarching project timelines and develop a schedule of tasks to meet key milestones
Collaborate with more experienced team members to identify resources required to support projects
Keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress or changes to task timelines that may impact the project schedule
Develop an understanding of applicable laws, controls, and regulatory requirements
Gain knowledge of legal and regulatory obligations (e.g., reporting mandates, compliance requirements)
Build awareness of internal and external market control environments
Support the administration of immigration, mobility, and mobility tax programs across the company, including hybrid work, permanent relocations, short- and long-term assignments, commuter arrangements, extended business travelers, frequent business travelers, remote workers, and interns
Understand key performance indicators relevant to your work and the importance of metrics in measuring success (e.g., efficiency and effectiveness)
Experience and qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience
2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 0–2 years with a Master’s degree
Working knowledge of immigration, mobility, and mobility tax policies and processes in line with industry standards, with the ability to develop creative solutions when needed
Knowledge of global legal and compliance requirements
Able to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and consistently deliver results
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across workstreams, projects, and processes that impact the Global Mobility function
An established performer who applies immigration, mobility, and mobility tax expertise, frameworks, and playbooks to address business challenges with moderate guidance
