About the Role
We are seeking a Senior German Language Trainer / HOD (C1/C2 certified) to lead our German language department and train studentsespecially healthcare professionalspreparing for their careers in Germany.
Youll design, lead, and deliver high-impact, interactive sessions aligned with CEFR standards (A1B2) , while mentoring other trainers to ensure academic excellence across batches.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership & Training Delivery
Conduct structured, interactive sessions across A1B2/C1 levels, integrating all four language skills.
Deliver Pflegedeutsch (Medical German) modules for healthcare professionals.
Mentor and guide trainers to ensure consistent quality and CEFR alignment.
Design syllabus, lesson plans and digital learning materials tailored to diverse learner needs.
Apply activity-based, multimedia, and real-life learning techniques for effective outcomes.
Cultural Orientation & Integration
Introduce students to German culture, etiquette, and workplace ethics.
Conduct cultural and communication workshops for better adaptation in Germany.
Student Assessment & Exam Readiness
Prepare students for international certifications (Goethe, TELC, SD).
Conduct mock exams, track progress, and organize remedial sessions.
Ensure measurable improvement before certification.
Mentorship & Academic Coordination
Support and coach junior trainers in lesson delivery and learner engagement.
Coordinate with the Academic Head/ Operations Team/ Coordinator for planning and quality tracking.
Maintain accurate academic records attendance, interview preparation, assessments, and progress reports.
Student Motivation & Support
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that builds confidence.
Provide academic counselling and motivation to sustain learner consistency.
Translation & Institutional Support
Assist in translation, interpretation, and communication with German partners and employers if required.
Support documentation and communication for institutional collaborations.
Continuous Improvement & Professional Growth
Stay updated on teaching innovations, exam formats, and digital pedagogy.
Contribute to internal curriculum reviews, workshops, and development initiatives.
Represent the academy in external academic forums and events.
Qualifications
C1 / C2 Level Certification (Goethe / TELC / SD or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years experience teaching German (healthcare experience preferred)
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Familiarity with blended / digital learning platforms
Passionate about mentoring and helping learners achieve global success
