Business Title: Senior General Manager - India HR Operations

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced leader as Head of India HR Operations to lead and enhance our organization's human resources Operations functions. This role requires a strategic thinking ability with strong leadership skills, capable of driving operational excellence and fostering a positive work environment.

This role will lead the entire gamut of India HR Operations which will include HR advisory service delivery, Payroll, employee’s life cycle management (ELCM), data analytics and MIS, various reporting, compliance (Payroll, Shops & Establishments, labor, contractors/subcontractors), merging & acquisitions, special projects, benefits administration, policies developments/enhancements, transformation and digitalization, continuous improvements, HR Helpdesk.

What you will do:

  • Provide timely and accurate HR advisory support to India HR Business Partners and managing employee’s life cycle.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Ensuring Shops & Establishment, Labour compliance, contractors and subcontractors compliance are on track. Handling inspection notices of various Govt departments. Create and operate a control environment in accordance with compliance regulations.

  • Develop and maintain ER policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policy.

  • Responsible for publishing and delivering HR Dashboard (Excel and PowerBI). Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of various reports.

  • Lead and execute various M&A and special projects.

  • Enhance operational governance by implementing robust processes and controls to drive efficiency within HR operations

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in HR, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Lead the HR operations team, promoting a collaborative environment that enhances team performance and employee experience.

  • Drive HR operations projects that align with organizational goals and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.

  • Provide best-in-class employee experiences through the development and execution of effective HR strategies and programs.

  • Oversee team productivity and quality performance by setting objectives and tracking progress to ensure goals are met; and provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members.

  • Partnership with HRBPs, COEs and other functional stakeholders to ensure HR Operations running and support Indian Business Leaders, Managers and employees.

  • Oversee Employee Relations (ER) activities, including handling employee grievances, conducting investigations, and implementing disciplinary procedures. Partner with business units, HR Business Partners and CoE teams on complex HR cases and projects.

  • Maintain a customer-service focus within operations and actively partner with in-region stakeholders.

  • Implement continuous process improvement frameworks and champion related initiatives to enhance end-to-end process effectiveness and efficiency, drive OMNI utilization and related content development.

What we look for:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.

  • Around 15 years of experience working in HR Operations and a minimum of 8 years of experience in handling managerial role with a focus on Employee Relations, Payroll and Project Management.

  • Experience in leading remote & multi-location teams

  • Proficient in handling India Payroll Operations and various taxation regulations.

  • Proficient in handling various labour regulation and statutory compliances

  • Ability to engage and motivate others, and develop high-performing and autonomous teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail, quality, and follow-through; strong interpersonal skills

  • Metrics orientation – ability to translate how metrics indicate performance and are to be used to manage and focus the team

  • Ability to collaborate and work with multiple level business and functional stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven track record of managing HR operations in a dynamic environment.
