Senior Full Stack Engineer – Product Engineering

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who can own features endtoend from shaping the solution with product and architecture teams to taking it live in production and keeping it stable. You will work on multiple products/modules in a fastpaced startup environment, helping turn prototypes into robust, productionready applications. The work will span dataheavy web applications, internal tools, and shared platform components.

Key Responsibilities

• Own endtoend feature development for web applications (backend, frontend, integrations, and data workflows).
• Translate product requirements and use cases into technical designs, user stories, and implementation plans.
• Productionise applications - set up and maintain build/deployment pipelines, staging and production environments, logging/monitoring, and basic alerting.
• Implement secure, scalable APIs and data processing components.
• Collaborate on database design and query optimisation for analytics/reporting use cases where needed.
• Work on production hardening - performance, stability, error handling, and observability.
• Contribute to security readiness (access control, data protection basics, secure coding practices) and documentation in line with compliance/readiness efforts (e.g., ISO 27001/9001).
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Work closely with the founding/product/architecture team; proactively identify risks, tradeoffs, and technical debt.

Required Skills and Experience

• 48 years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer / Software Engineer working on web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern backend stack (e.g., Python/FastAPI/Django, Node.js/NestJS, or similar) and one modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular).
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL; experience designing schemas and writing performant queries.
• Proven experience in taking applications from prototype to production, including CI/CD pipelines, environment configuration, and postrelease support.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) for deploying and operating applications.
• Good grasp of application security basics (authentication/authorisation, secure handling of data, secrets management, etc.).
• Comfort working in a small team with incomplete requirements, iterating quickly, and balancing speed with quality.
• Strong ownership mindset, communication skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with analytics/reporting products or other data-heavy applications.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT tools, or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, Superset).
• Exposure to ISO 27001/9001, SOC 2, or similar compliance environments.
• Experience in early-stage startups or greenfield product builds.
