What you’ll do:

Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture for high-volume trading applications
Build reliable messaging infrastructure using Kafka, JMS, and AMQ for real-time transaction processing
Own complex technical initiatives from design through production deployment, removing impediments and ensuring quality delivery
Architect RESTful APIs and event-driven systems integrating with payment processors, market data providers, and regulatory systems
Mentor junior developers through pair programming, code reviews, and technical guidance
Drive automation and CI/CD practices using AWS services and containerization technologies
Ensure data integrity across Oracle and NoSQL databases, optimizing for performance at scale
Leverage AI tools to accelerate development workflows and improve code quality

What you’ll need for this role:

8+ years Java development with strong Spring Framework and Spring Boot expertise
Production experience building microservices architectures with RESTful APIs
Deep knowledge of messaging systems: Kafka, JMS, ActiveMQ/AMQ
Proficiency with Oracle databases and NoSQL solutions (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
AWS cloud services experience (Lambda, ECS, EventBridge, SQS)
Containerization using Docker and orchestration platforms
React.js and JavaScript for full-stack contributions
Experience with Agile methodologies including TDD, BDD, and pair programming

Good to have:

Financial services or trading platform background
Experience integrating AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) into development workflows
Multi-region, multi-currency application experience
