Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Designer to lead our UI implementation

strategy. You will be responsible for building scalable design systems, crafting complex

micro-interactions, and ensuring our user interface is not only beautiful but also performant

and accessible. You will serve as the primary translator between the creative team and the

engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Systems: Architect and maintain a reusable component library (Style Guide)

to ensure consistency across the product ecosystem.

Advanced Styling: Implement complex animations, transitions, and micro

interactions using CSS animations or libraries like GSAP/Framer Motion.

Cross-Browser Compatibility: Troubleshoot and resolve advanced layout issues

across different browsers and legacy versions.

Performance Optimization: Ensure CSS is lean and performant; optimize the

"Critical Rendering Path" to improve Core Web Vitals scores.

Accessibility (a11y): Ensure all UI components meet WCAG 2.1 standards (screen

reader compatibility, keyboard navigation).

Mentorship: Code review the work of Band 1 designers and provide guidance on

best practices.

Required Skills:

Advanced CSS: Mastery of SCSS/SASS, CSS Variables, and BEM naming

conventions.

JS for Design: Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) specifically for DOM

manipulation and UI logic.

Frameworks: Experience templating within modern frameworks

(React/Vue/Angular) strictly on the presentation layer (JSX/Templates).

Motion Design: Ability to code smooth, 60fps animations.

Tooling: Experience with build tools (Webpack, Vite, Gulp) and package managers

(NPM/Yarn).
