The Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer (SDE III) who can combine strong React expertise with architectural thinking and leadership in execution. You will own large features end-to-end from design to delivery and influence the frontend architecture, tooling, and performance optimization strategy.

This is a senior individual contributor role with opportunities to mentor engineers, improve code quality and shape BeeHyvs frontend engineering best practices.

What Youll Do

• Architect, design, and develop React-based web applications at scale.
• Drive initiatives for frontend modularization, performance optimization, and design system standardization.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define data contracts and optimize API integrations.
• Lead code reviews and mentor SDE I / SDE II developers on design patterns and frontend principles.
• Contribute to architectural decisions SSR/SSG strategies, caching, and micro-frontend integration.
• Set up and enhance tooling pipelines for linting, type safety, testing, and deployment.
• Define and monitor frontend observability metrics (performance, stability, accessibility).
• Partner with design teams to evolve component libraries and ensure brand consistency.
• Stay up-to-date with frontend ecosystem trends and recommend adoption of relevant innovations.

What Were Looking For

• 610 years of frontend development experience with 3+ years in React.
• Deep understanding of React internals, reconciliation, and rendering performance.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React hooks, and modern state management patterns.
• Experience in SSR frameworks (Next.js) and frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack).
• Strong grasp of frontend architecture modularization, monorepos, CI/CD, and versioning.
• Experience leading large-scale UI refactors or design system rollouts.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
• Understanding of web performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse audits).
• Exposure to accessibility (a11y) and compliance standards.
• Excellent debugging and profiling skills for production-grade apps.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with micro-frontends, Nx/Turborepo, or design token frameworks.
• Experience integrating feature flagging or A/B testing frameworks.
• Exposure to observability tools like Sentry, Datadog, or LogRocket.
• Experience using AI-assisted development for productivity and code quality.
• Experience mentoring teams in frontend engineering maturity models.
